In a world where our identities are deeply tied to our communities and upbringing, globalisation presents us with a vast array of cultural choices. This abundance leads me to question whether the unique identity of my small community of Kerala Tamil Brahmins in southwestern India will endure, as their traditions are still passed down orally.

My work is a quest to preserve this rich cultural tapestry by exploring daily routines through non-verbal cues. I invite you to experience and connect with the tacit hand gestures documented in this project, with the hope that it will evoke a sense of familiarity and nostalgia for future generations.
